The Nanouk plant, also known as Pink Wandering Jew, Fantasy Venice, or Pink Bubblegum Plant, is a vibrant plant with robust stems and plump leaves, giving it a succulent-like appearance. The leaves are variegated with white, pink, and green hues on the top and is a solid purple on the underside. It grows upright and compact but tends to hang as it matures, thus making it a popular choice for hanging baskets. INSTRUCTIONS: You may grow the stems in a vase with clean water, but the plants will thrive better in soil. If planting in the soil, you may plant the unrooted stems immediately. Roots develop within 6 to 12 days in ideal conditions. If planting in the soil, make sure to bury the lowest node. (A node is where a leaf originates.) Plant in a nutrient-rich and well-draining soil. Use a 6-inch-deep pot with proper drainage. Keep the soil moist but avoid overwatering. You may plant all the stems close together in a pot or ground if you wish to achieve a thicker and more lush plant. This plant grows outdoors in USDA Zones 9–11 and is well-suited for patios, porches, or indoor spaces with proper light. Keep indoors or outdoors in a warm place with indirect bright light. Patios and porches are ideal. Too much sun can scorch the leaves. Insufficient light can cause the leaves to have less color. While it can tolerate any soil that has good drainage, it thrives best in loam soil. A loam soil is a type of soil that is a mixture of sand, silt, and clay. Loam soil holds nutrients and has a texture that retains water long enough for plant roots to access it, yet it drains well. This means that, eventually, the water seeps away so that plant does not rot.
